James Blandford-Baker
Vicar

Rev James Blandford-Baker has been appointed Vicar of Histon and Priest in Charge of St Andrew's, Impington. The service of Institution and Induction took place on 27 February 2006. James has come to us from a busy parish in the diocese of Willesden where he also served as Director of Ordinands. James is passionate about mission and building congregations that can communicate the gospel in a way that engages with the issues of contemporary society.

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Dundee University, James' hobby is woodworking, designing and making furniture. He is an amateur astronomer and avid fan of cricket. James is married to Katharine and they have 2 children, Peter and Lydia.

Paul
Paul Butler
Curate

Rev. Paul Butler commenced his work as Curate for Histon and Impington on 1 July 2007. An accountant by profession, Paul has worked and studied in both London and Texas. Paul has an MPhil in New Testament Theology and completed his ordination training at Ridley Hall before his ordination at Ely Cathedral on 30 June 2007.

Paul is involved in different aspects of ministry both at Histon and Impington.

Janet
Janet Glover
Assistant Curate

Rev. Janet Glover is Honary Curate for Histon and Impington. She trained in the Cambridge Theological Federation, was ordained in 2001 and served her curacy at St Philips and St Stephens in Cambridge. Prior to that she was lay pastor at Holy Trinity, Cambridge after working with the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship for 10 years in London and, latterly, in Cambridge. Originally from Zimbabwe, she studied and taught in South Africa before coming to London Bible College. She is married to Andrew.

Janet works alongside the vicar and curate and is involved in different aspects of ministry both at Histon and Impington.

Tim Blake
Children's Worker

Tim Blake is the full-time Children's Worker for St Andrew's. Tim trained as a PE teacher in Cheltenham, where he graduated with a B.Ed. in Physical Education, and then taught in a primary school in Harlow before moving to Battersea. There he was a Children's, Youth and Schools worker for a church near Clapham Junction. After six fulfilling years there, Tim has returned to Histon, accompanied by his wife, Helen, and son, Benjamin. Tim is full-time children's worker for St Andrew's. Tim's website and blog.

Mark Fuller
Youth Worker

Mark Fuller grew up in St Philip's church in Cambridge and was a volunteer youth leader there until his degree course in Youth and Community Work and Applied Theology. He graduated from Ridley Hall in 2006. During the course, Mark was on placement at Romsey Mill where he worked with young people at risk of social exclusion. He led activities including cooking, pool and football as well as taking groups to participate in activities such as caving and sea-kayaking. Music is another of Mark's passions and he has played guitar in several bands.

St Andrew's is fortunate in having a team of ministers, supplemented by Assistant (Retired) Clergy, four Licensed Lay Ministers, a Children's Worker, Tim Blake, a Youth Worker, Mark Fuller, Families' Worker, Mary-Jane Jorden, Pastoral Worker, Mavis Driver, and ordinands on placement from Ridley Hall.
