God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Jn 3:16

The Christian Gospel

Pam

Hi, my name is Pam and I have lived here in Histon for about 18 months. I was born in Liverpool where, at the age of 13, I heard the gospel, the Good News that Jesus had died for me and taken my sins away as He loved me so much. One night I knelt by my bedside and thanked Him for dying for me, said how sorry I was for all the wrongs things I had done and asked Him to come into my life and change me.

He certainly changed me and it was very noticeable to those around. However, when I turned 15, I unfortunately started to go my own way. With hindsight I can see that, although I did not pray or read the Bible, God was still around and protected me in some very difficult situations I found myself involved in. Anyway, about 7 years ago, I came to my senses, like the Prodigal Son, and I re-committed my life back to Him and it was wonderful the way He received and blessed me, then my husband (who subsequently gave his life to Jesus) and our three children, who now all profess, albeit it quietly, that they are Christians too!

I'm so glad that God didn't give up on me and that my Christian friends back in Liverpool had consistently prayed for me about 30 odd years. Athough God couldn't have been pleased with me, He still loved me just the same and welcomed me back with open arms into His family and He has certainly opened some wonderful and exciting doors for me since moving to Histon. I hope to see you around at St Andrew's!
